Born in Jacksonville and raised between Ocean City, the Washington area, and Seattle, Lori’s early experiences shaped her adaptability, creativity, and deep appreciation for personal style and customer connection.

Her retail career began at Nordstrom in the 1970s before evolving into specialty boutique retail. After earning a degree in Fashion Merchandising from Florida State University, Lori quickly built a reputation for exceptional merchandising, team leadership, and luxury customer experiences through her work with The Body Shops and later United Colors of Benetton — where she and her husband John expanded multiple locations throughout the Southeast.

After settling in Fernandina Beach — a town deeply connected to Lori’s family history for generations — she launched lori+lulu, a laidback luxury boutique that quickly became a destination for both locals and visitors alike.

Recognizing a void in the local market for timeless Southern resort fashion and heritage luxury brands, Lori created Pearl — thoughtfully designed to reflect the effortless sophistication of coastal living, blending refined Southern style with luxury resort wear and highly curated collections from sought-after designers.

Today, Lori continues to oversee her growing family of boutiques with the same passion and entrepreneurial spirit that has guided her entire career — alongside her husband John, and their beloved dogs Lily, Lola, and Gypsy Blu.
